The Cornwall Timberwolves salvaged a heart-breaking season with a 54-16 rout over the Summerside
Clippers.
All-star Running back Cody Keenan finished his final game as a Timberwolve with four rushing touchdowns. Fullback Dan Gallant had a rushing and receiving touchdown, and Defensive Tackle Alex Mutch had a couple of short rushing scores on offense.
Head Coach Neal Connaughton realized this would be many of his veteran players' last game with the club, and the message to his players going into the final game was simple.
"Let's finish what we started", said Connaughton.
"It's a lesson learned in life with these kids. It's not easy to quit something you love. We came out winners in the end so we were able to finish what we started."
Clippers Quarterback Matt Rice connected with his brother, Kris Rice on two touchdown passes to close out the scoring for the Clippers.
